Oct 13, 2016 – Memory Test Competition - Std. I to IV

A memory test aims to improve the students’ short-term memory and speed-recognition skills. The attractive illustrations given in this test help assess their visual memory. The participants who cleared the preliminary test entered the final test which comprised of two rounds. The rules were clearly laid down by Ms. Roopa and the students diligently followed them. In the first round, 12 labelled pictures were projected on the screen, individually. The students were given few minutes to observe them following which they were given 7 minutes to write the words on a sheet of paper. In the second round, 20 pictures without labels were projected on the screen, in a single slide. The students were given few minutes to observe all the pictures following which they were given almost 10 minutes to recall and write them. The students completed the task with a lot of enthusiasm.

Oct 21, 2016 – Sports Day




The much awaited 14th Sports Day Spectrum 2016 was conducted by Mitra Academy with great pomp and enthusiasm on 21st October 2016 at the J. P. Nagar Association Sports Ground. The famous Indian cricketer and current ICC Refree, Mr. Javagal Srinath was the Chief Guest for the occasion. In his speech he urged the parents to encourage the children not only to take up a particular sport but also to sustain the interest throughout the life. The event commenced with the formal reception of the Chief Guest by the school band followed by the March Past. The colourful displays by the students of different age groups presented the vibrant colours of the rainbow. The display of karate students and smooth execution of Yoga Asanas were commended by the audience extensively. The spirited participation of the parents, teachers and the support staff in different events added fun to the environment. The day ended with the distribution of medals and certificates to the winners.

Oct 17, 2016 – Valmiki Jayanti Special Assembly - Std. I to X

India is a land of “Unity in diversity”. The numerous races, castes, creeds, religions and languages, in India have adorned our country with an exceptional diversity. It is important for us to know the significance of Valmiki Jayanthi a day marked to celebrate the great sage Valmiki, the author of the epic Ramayana, irrespective of the inequalities that govern us. With this aim, the school organized a special assembly to celebrate Valmiki Jayanthi on 17th October 2016. The Special Assembly in the A.R.A Memorial Hall started with the speech about Maharshi Valmiki, one of the greatest saints of the ancient world, by Ms. Apoorva of III Std, followed by a small speech on importance of Ramayana by Devansh of III Std. Ms. Unnathi of III Std dressed as Maharishi Valmiki recited a sloka from Ramayana which was followed by a group song. The students were enthralled to visualize the amazing performance. The effort and the time of the Std. III students made the programme a success. The programme was well appreciated by the students and the staff.

Oct 26, 2016 –Earthen Diya Painting - Kinderworld

The Diya Painting activity carried out in the Kinderworld proved to be thrilling experience for the little ones. It provided a platform for the children to exhibit their creativity. It was amazing to watch the tender hands paint and decorate their earthen diyas skillfully and aesthetically.

Oct 27, 2016 – Deepavali Celebration - Kinderworld





Deepavali was celebrated with great fervour. The school wore a festive look with all the children and teachers dressed in their favourite traditional outfit. Lovely diyas hand painted by the children adorned the classrooms. It was a joy to watch the tiny tots admire their own creation which not only filled the teachers’ hearts with joy but also a lasting impression.

Oct 28, 2016 – Art & Craft Exhibition

The Open House for parents was organized on Saturday November 05, 2016 at Mitra Academy to facilitate parent–teacher interaction. The parents got an opportunity to discuss their ward’s performance at school. In the school premises a colourful Art &amp; Craft Exhibition, “CHROMA – 2016” was organized which added vibrance to the day. The art- work and paintings of the students were displayed. A drawing and painting competition with the theme, “My child’s dream school” that was organised exclusively for the parents, put on provided them with a platform to unleash their artistic streak.

Oct 27, 2016 – Deepavali Celebration - Primary

On the occasion of Diwali students of Middle & High School conducted a special assembly on Thursday, 27 October 2016 in the ARA Memorial Hall. The programme started off with a group song ‘Happy Diwali’ sung by students of Std. V & VI. This was followed by a beautiful group dance by students of Std. VI. They danced to the tune of ‘Diwali Aayi Re’. The students celebrated the event with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Headmistress, Ms. Vani appreciated the efforts of the participants and motivated the students to come up with better performances in the future, while wishing them a happy & safe Diwali.
