Sep 02, 2016 – Ganesha Idol Making Activity

Ganesh Chatuthi was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Mitra KInderworld. Children as well as teachers came dressed in colourful traditional outfits. The lobby was beautifully decorated with cutouts of flowers and leaves surrounding the idols of Gowri and Ganesha. The school wore a festive look as the classrooms bustled with idol making activities. Children displayed amazing creativity in preparing idols of the elephant God. These kinder creations were then placed in the lobby along with the main idols of Gowri and Ganesha.

Sep 10, 2016 – Grandparents' Day & Onam Celebration


Onam was celebrated with gusto in Mitra Kinderworld. The school wore a cheerful look with all the teachers and students dressed in colourful traditional outfits. A lovely floral carpet, laid elegantly around a beautiful lamp, adorned the lobby. Classrooms also came alive as teachers and children arranged flowers on the floor to create pretty floral carpets. Grandparents’ Day was celebrated with great excitement in Mitra Kinderworld. Children cheered happily as their spirited grandparents walked into their classrooms with energy and enthusiasm. Creative activities involving grandparents further added to the joy of the little ones. A nice programme was put by the children as well as by the teachers in the auditorium. The programme was then followed by innovative games for the grandparents which proved to be an icing on the cake.

Sep 14, 2016 – Hindi Diwas - Special Assembly - Std. I to Std. X


Hindi Diwas was celebrated in the school premises to celebrate the day ‘Hindi’, the link language was adopted as the ‘Raj Bhasha’ by the Constituent Assembly on 14th September, 1949. To commemorate the same, various competitions and activities were organised. The day began with a special assembly with students reading the news, thought and facts in Hindi. The significance of the day was explained. Students of classes I to IV had a handwriting competition in Hindi, V to VII had poetry recitation in Hindi and VIII to X had a Hindi Bhashan Pratiyogita with the topic ‘Digital India.’ The students participated in all the events organised with great enthusiasm and took a step further to relate to the greatness of the ‘Hindi’ language.

Sep 07, 2016 – Rakhi Making Activity - Std. I & Std. II

The festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated through discussions and sharing of views on brother and sister relationships. Then, Rakhis were designed and made by the students with the material provided. The activity aimed at honing their artistic skills and learning to value relationships.

Sep 29, 2016 – Teachers’ Day Celebration


The management of Mitra Academy organized a fun filled evening in the honour of their teachers on their day – The Teachers’ Day. The celebrations that unfolded were the culmination of the hard work of the admin staff who put up a spectacular cultural extravaganza comprising a skit, dance, song and interesting games to keep the teachers engrossed in things different from the regular grind of tensions and challenges. The highlight of the show was the awards to teachers who had completed more than a decade’s service to the school. The events ended with a sumptuous high tea.
